July 16, 2020

Dear 93"^*^ Bomb Group Association Members,

Due to the current Covid-19 virus health pandemic, it is with mixed emotions that we are

postponing the 93'*^ Bomb Group Association's 20^*" annual reunion this October.

The Officers met on Sunday, July 12, to discuss the benefits and risks associated with the 2020

reunion. After much discussion, it was a unanimously decided to postpone the reunion.

Although we are disappointed with this postponement, the health and safety of our Veterans,

members, and guests is our priority! The risk of Infection is too high with travel restrictions,

social distancing, mask requirements and sanitization of buildings, and would have an impact

on the enjoyment of our "family" gathering - the primary consideration. Thank you to those

who completed the survey and for sharing your thoughts with us.

Now for the "good" news!! Due to excellent negotiating by our VP and reunion coordinator,

John Marx, there is no penalty or cancellation fees by the hotel or venues, for postponing until

next year! Therefore, It was decided to continue planning for the 2021 reunion In Salt Lake City,

and then the 2022 reunion location in Boston, as previously approved by the membership.

Additionally, a sub-committee has been formed to plan out the annual 93rd BGA member

business meeting required by our by-laws, in an easy-to-use Zoom format (Zoom is an online

software for conducting meetings online with large groups). You can watch for additional

information In the future Ball-Of-FIre newsletter! The meeting will take place on Saturday,

October 17, 2020, as previously scheduled.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation with the postponement, and we will plan on

seeing you in 2021 in Salt Lake City for sure!!
